Herbs of Provence


These versatile blends of French grown aromatic herbs harken back to another time. The crocks and bags are created and filled up by hand, and a joy to both the giver and the receiver and are beautiful on a counter. Phenomenally giftable, these little crocks work beautifully in baskets and are irresistible on a shelf. Aux Anysetiers du Roy was first a restaurant in L'Ile Saint-Louis, near Notre-Dame. It specialized in Provençal cooking, and was one of the first to offer grilled meats seasoned with Provençal herbs. At the end of dinner, each customer was offered a small gift– a small Herbs de Provence crock, containing a special blend prepared by owner Louis Lombard, who was the first to include lavender flowers in the now-famous aromatic herb blend. The sweet sentiment of this little crock gave us the idea to produce and commercialize a line of specialty items packed in clay and stoneware pots. Aux Anysetiers du Roy's Herbs de Provence will quickly become a staple in your kitchen!
